APN Canonical Statement

Establishes what the Australian Privacy Network is, what it publishes, and how its records can be independently verified.

The Australian Privacy Network is an independent Australian privacy project. It publishes plain-language guidance, maintains a small number of privacy-adjacent tools, and provides a local file-integrity verifier so that any published artifact can be checked against its stated SHA-256 hash without uploading the file anywhere.

APN is not a government body. It does not certify products, endorse vendors, or operate any nationwide infrastructure. Every claim on this site is accompanied by a public status and an honest limitation.

Limitations

This statement is not a government instrument. Verification is local and evidentiary, not certifying.
